The story follows Munna, a local goon who runs a protection racket in Mumbai. To please his father, who believes he is a real doctor, Munna creates an elaborate ruse involving a fake hospital and staff. When the truth is revealed and his father is humiliated by the cold, cynical Dr. Asthana, Munna decides to actually enroll in medical school to take revenge. However, instead of using traditional medicine, he heals patients with his unconventional "Jadoo Ki Jhappi" (magical hug) and a philosophy of compassion that challenges the rigid, clinical nature of the medical establishment.
