Kismat Konnection follows Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor), a successful but perpetually unlucky architect who believes his life is governed by bad luck. Despite his talent, every project he touches fails. After saving a young girl from a car accident, he meets a guardian angel named "Kismat" (played by Om Puri, in a surprisingly comedic role). The angel informs Raj that he has four chances to turn his luck around.
