Set between the Battle City finals and the start of the Dawn of the Duel arc, the film sees the return of Anubis, an ancient Egyptian sorcerer who was defeated by Pharaoh Atem’s predecessor. Freed from the titular Pyramid of Light, Anubis targets Yugi and Atem, unleashing two new god-level cards: The Winged Dragon of Ra (re-colored and corrupted) and the unbeatable Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon for Kaiba.
