Shawty Lo emerged from Atlanta’s Bankhead neighborhood. As a member of D4L, he helped pioneer the “snap dance” era. After the group disbanded, he dropped Units in the City (2008) — a solo mixtape hosted by DJ Cannon and DJ Sense.
