The proxy takes a 1GB file, shreds it into 200 mathematical fragments, and sends 220 fragments. As long as the receiving proxy gets any 200 of the 220, it perfectly reconstructs the original. This means you don't need a perfect connection; you need a statistically sufficient connection.
