In the landscape of Boys' Love (BL) visual novels, Nitro+CHiRAL has long been considered the dark prince of the genre. With titles like Togainu no Chi and Dramatical Murder , they established a reputation for brutal narratives married to striking, stylized art. But with Slow Damage , released in English by JAST USA in 2022, the studio—and specifically lead artist Shima, who took the helm for the CGs—did something different. They moved away from the hyper-digital gloss of DMMD and the gritty desaturation of their earlier works, opting instead for something tactile, oily, and undeniably organic.

The CGs (Computer Graphics) in are the high-quality, full-screen illustrations that capture the most pivotal and emotionally charged moments of the story.
