Marudhu is a vegetable market laborer who cannot tolerate injustice. The story centers on his deep bond with his grandmother (Appathaa) and his quest for justice after a local politician, Rolex Pandiyan, murders his girlfriend's mother.

The plot shifts when Maruthu falls in love with Bhagyalakshmi (), a bold woman seeking justice for her mother’s murder. It is eventually revealed that the local thug-turned-politician, Rolex Pandiyan (played by R.K. Suresh ), was behind the brutal killing. Encouraged by his grandmother, who witnessed the crime, Maruthu takes it upon himself to protect Bhagyalakshmi and dismantle Pandiyan's reign of terror in a violent, high-stakes climax.
