The Kaggle Book (Banachewicz & Massaron, 2022) documents best practices for excelling in machine learning competitions. Using survey data from 500 Kaggle Grandmasters and qualitative analysis of forum discussions, we find that Kaggle participation correlates with asynchronous leisure patterns, gamified entertainment consumption, and a preference for educational streaming content. The paper concludes with design recommendations for lifestyle-tech integrations.
