The film is inspired by the true events of the 2019 Balakot airstrike, where the Indian Army conducted a surgical strike against terrorist camps in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. The story revolves around Major Vihaan Shergill (played by Vicky Kaushal), a brave and determined army officer who leads a team of commandos on a perilous mission to avenge the death of his commando and to take down the terrorist network.
